As part of the Welcome Center Rheinisches Revier (WCR) …
… the Municipal Integration Center (KI) of the Aachen City Region serves as the central point of contact for the integration of international skilled workers at the municipal level.
We support skilled workers and companies throughout the integration phases of arrival, work, and life – in a practical, reliable, and structured manner. Our particular focus is on designing integration processes in such a way that companies are relieved of the burden, while skilled workers are simultaneously well supported and sustainably integrated into the region.
To this end, the Municipal Integration Center draws in particular on the structures of the Competence Center for Integration and Work (KIA) as well as case management.
Center of Excellence for Integration and Employment (KIA)
The Center of Excellence for Integration and Employment (KIA) systematically links integration processes with the realities of the labor market, education, and daily life. It is characterized by a holistic, community-based approach that considers integration across the life domains of arrival, work, and daily life, and shapes it in a sustainable manner.
Through coordination and active liaison work, KIA connects the labor market, education, administration, and civil society, thereby helping to ease the burden on all stakeholders.
KIA’s key focus areas:
- Orientation and support within local and labor market-related structures
